The Poet’s House
Hand signed limited edition print in a limed white wooden frame
This was inspired by a wonderful night celebrating the 60th birthday of my poet friend, Robyn Rowland in Clifden, Connemara. Robyn rang me from Australia a year previously with the invitation. Despite the advance notice I found myself only able last minute to take the 100 mile journey through the Maam valley and Joyce’s country. Arriving late and stressed into a dark evening in deepest Connemara we couldn’t find our way. Suddenly the house came invitingly into view across Clifden bay which twinkled like thousands of diamonds with the reflection of the stars on the glass-like Atlantic.
Handmade at home
Each print is lovingly assembled by me at home in Roscommon. I sign and number each one, mount it in a beautiful frame, and attach a written note describing the inspiration.
